We represent clients at all stages of a dispute, or potential dispute with taxing authorities.  We render pre-filing advice, often in conjunction with your Certified Public Accountant, audit representation, Appeals Representation and Representation before the United States Tax Court, U.S. District Court or U.S. Court of Claims.

We represent clients in the tax collection context, including request for Penalty Abatement, Offers-in-Compromise and arranging installment agreements.  We also have significant experience in correcting erroneously filed Tax Liens and securing the required releases so that real property can be sold, even if the proceeds of sale will not satisfy the tax liens and judgements.

We also have extensive experience in dealing with withholding taxes and matters of employee classification.

Dealing with the IRS also involves more than just your return.  We have extensive experience in assisting clients in determining if and when they must file Form 8300, Cash received in a Trade or Business; whether they must file a Fincen Form 114, commonly known as an FBAR to report foreign bank accounts or IRS Form 5741 Information Return of U.S. Persons With Respect To Certain Foreign Corporations.

We also have extensive experience in handling audits conducted by the Ohio Department of Taxation in matters involving income tax, sales and use tax and employee withholding.

We have extensive experience in handling all aspects of criminal investigations into tax matters and all financial dealings, including forfeitures pursued by the United States.  These include tax, financial frauds such as Ponzi schemes, bank fraud, mail and wire fraud and bribery cases. In these types of matters, the earlier you are represented, the better.

We also have experience in many different areas associated with these matters.  We often represent professionals before State licensing boards and have appeared before the Ohio Accountancy Board, Medical Board, Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Insurance; Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Securities and the Ohio Liquor Commission.

We handle probate matters and estate and succession planning for both individuals and businesses.  This includes sales of businesses and their associated assets.
